I don't actually have any "prized" DVDs. But I like My MAx Fleisher Superman Episodes.
Don't know exactly why, but I love them and can watch them over and over again...
Something about the thought of all those people working on all those amazing backgrounds without so much as a photo copy machine...

Yeah, that is pretty damn inspiring. They were good cartoons too.
I remember when I was younger my favorite was the one with the mummy.

I like the Rocketeers. Which are basically bank robbers with a suped up car. Totally gave Superman a run for his money back in the day.
He couldn't fly in these cartoons either, he could just jump really well.
The studio went out of business because these cartoons were too expensive to make I believe.

COMEDIAN by JERRY SEINFELD: I really thought this film perfectly captured what it's like to attempt standup comedy. Love this film and the commentary.

The Aliens Quadrilogy set is so packed full of stuff... 9 disks, 50 hours of new material, two awesome movies and a very underrated one (Resurrection is still shit) with director cuts/special editions and commentaries for each one. The making of each movie disks are also amazing, I love seeing HG Giger's original stuff, all the background info, the making of Alien3, so much good stuff.

I would agree with the others who mentioned the Buffy Chosen Collection ... but it seems like an unfair choice, since it is 7 sets compiled into one. Ditto for the Monty Python and Prisoner megasets.

I can't think of a prized DVD possession I've got so many it's silly... Only ones that come to mind are the ones that got away... Twin Peaks season 1, Sopranos 1-4, the anchor bay Notorious. A couple of late bills, the cable gets cut off and now all I have is the regret. the god damned regret.
That said the one that's seen the most play around here is probably chasing amy.

Nothing. it's bare bones.
I sold it because the Criterion edition was on the way. Then the Anchor bay went out of print... then the criterion went out of print before I got one.

From Beyond because there has yet to be a legal copy sold in the States. You either can buy the all-region Hong Kong copy with subtitles or get the German version that only plays on PAL screens.
Allegedly, the film crew have made commentaries for a restored, director's cut of the film for a domestic DVD release, but no timetable is available. I suspect the recent release of yet another Re-Animator DVD is to test the market waters for Stuart Gordon films.
