So...as a Univ. of Tx system student I was able to purchase MSOffice 03 (full version NOT student ver) for ~15$ back in the day.
Currently I have the opportunity through my current university affiliation to buy 2007 for ~80$
I'm wondering what the prices are for everyone at their various institutions...seems like a big increase
again this is full version and not the student version you can buy at BestBuy or Walmart for 150$
anyone?

It is cheaper than 150, so that seems like a good deal to me. My school gave us copies of software, but it was just rolled up in our tuition anyways.

80 bucks is a steal. Sure it's not 15 bucks, but still.

Yeah, that's a really good price. My school is giving it to the students for free, but I'm sure we paid for it somehow.

You bet. Nothing is free.
Yeah, MS employees get the full edition for about $60, sounds about right.

You should download OpenOffice. It's free, and just as good as MS Office, in my opinion.

Is '07 better than '03? I'm debating whether or not I should upgrade.

Is open office useable on a Mac?

Not what I asked...but I do indeed use OpenOffice, however due to my profession I need to be sure I can access/edit/generate a file MSOffice formats and make sure it's 100% compatible. Rather than deal with a headache at the last minute it's easier for me to have a copy of MSOffice on hand.
OpenOffice is available for Linux Distros, MS and Mac (PowerPC and Intel).
Thanks for the input everyone.

Do you get MS Publisher with the bundle? If you do, please email me. I would like to "re-buy" my copy. My copy came from Russia and, well, I don't know if it is legit. (For the record, my copy is "fine" and the codes work fine. I have all documentation and Microsoft does recognize the software for updates, etc... The reason I wrote this is because all printed material are really faded.)
Please email me if it does.

It does, but I CANNOT and WILL NOT help you acquire a copy in any way. Do NOT PM me regarding this.

Just a question... Why? Are the copies only for university students?
