It will be in all book stores in Sept.

I would imagined they will also offer it thru Diamond as well so comic book stores can order it thru thier main distributor.

Just please make sure to mention it you book store or comic bookstore so they order it in advance.

And there will be some advance copies available at San Diego Con in limited supply.

And welcome to the boards

Thanks for the welcome. I've met ya a couple times at the motor city con and one of the Toronto cons. In Toronto you gave my wife an autograph copy of Alchemy number one and she loved it so much she bought 30 copies of it and uses them in her english class.
Now back to shy creatures...
Is it published by marvel through the Icon line? And the pages that we've seen from Kabuki are they actual pages from shy creatures or are they different? And do you know what cons you are going to this year?

Hey, that is wonderful that she uses them in her English Class!
Please give her my thanks for that.
And feel welcome to mention her name and school, etc. We can mention it on davidmackguide.com to give her a little shout out for it for being such an awesome teacher, and a little shout for the school if you like.

The Shy Creatures is published by Holtzbrinck publishing's new kids book imprint called Feiwel & Friends!

HUGE publisher and the book is in the very first wave of their kids book line.

Any book store, comic store, library, school, etc, can order from them.

Just mention it to the people that order it!

I had to tweak a few things to get it to fit in the kids book format.
You don't realize when reading it in Kabuki that The Shy Creatures is actually a very long book for a kids book.

They let me do it at 48 pages which is way longer than the standard kids book, and they are keeping the price still at the lowest kids book price.

Sot to get it down to 48 pages, I had to streamline a couple of things and mangaged to keep all the creatures in the book.

The pages in the Kabuki story are aged. So the colors in this new kids book version has all the colors and drawings in thier pristine and natural tone.

I'm very happy with it!

I already approved the printing proof of it.

Thanks!

There is a mention of this on davidmackguide.com right now :)

Oh, and as for conventions, I think the list is on DMG too.

Off the top of my head, the ones I have scheduled now are"
Philly-
San Diego
Chicago

probably Dragon Con in ATL.

And I've never done Baltimore before, and I'd like to try to make that too if I can.

And, Toronto would be fun too.

let me know if you have other suggestions.
