Steranko is honestly one of my least favorite Cap artists, but maybe that's because he was squeezed in with the King at around the same time period and had no choice but to pale in comparison.

LEE: I had brought back the Human Torch and the Sub-Mariner and I had to bring back Captain America. To me, they were always the big three [from Timely]. With the Torch, I made a lot of changes, but with Captain America, there was nothing to change. The only thing I really didnít want was Bucky. [Laughs] I felt like if I were a grown-up [superhero], I wouldnít run around with a teenager. At the very least, people might talk. [Laughs]
That's pretty funny.

I really, really, really, really want to see that. I love me some Steranko, I love me some classic Cap, and Bendis added to the equation only makes it tastier.

I'd love to see Steranko revisit the Marvel Universe in some fashion. I read his Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD stories a few years back, and I remember being absolutely blown away by them, even after all this time. It holds up as some of the finest comic work ever, IMO.

I may pull those out and revisit them this weekend... :)

I have the sad feeling that he would be more of a consultant, co-plotter, cover-artist, etc. It's been, what, 20 years since he's done any actual sequential art?

That's pretty funny.

It's fairly well known that Lee has an aversion to teen sidekicks. He feels that teenage superheroes would want to hang around other teenage superheroes.
