Now this is a tough one as there's always regional opinions to take into consideration. The NYC vs. Chicago debates can get heated. Hell, I've seen Chicago vs. Chicago debates get wild as friends argue over Lou Malnati's, Gino's East and Giordano's deep dish delights. So what's your favorite pizza place?

Mine is no doubt Pepe's in New Haven, CT. It's pretty famous and has been featured in every food mag and best list, and you know what... it's that damn good! I've been eating there since I was a kid. I won't wait 20 minutes for a hot dog at Pink's, but I will stand in line for an hour at Pepe's for one of their pies. People start lining up well before the place opens and no one ever regrets it. And the pie of choice... clams with bacon and white sauce! Food of the gods!!

Nino's Pizzarama in Horsham, PA.

As a kid growing up in South Philly, there was never a shortage of places to find a great hoagie, a superb cheesesteak, and the greatest pizza.

So when it came time for me to move to the burb, my biggest concern was not being able to find South Philly quality pizza. A friend of mine who used to live up around here told me about a place called Rizzos, which wasn't bad when I tried it. But it didn't hold a candle to my S.Philly faves like Pizza Shack or the Pizza Place.

So one day my wife (around then she was only my girlfriend) and I came across Nino's -- on Easton Road (Rt.611) near Horsham. The place looks like an old Pizzeria from the 70s. We went inside and (this was back when I was topping the scales at 300 lbs) we ordered a large pie and an order of fries to split. Their plain pizza was amazing, but it was only shortly after that first trip did we discover their greatest pizza.

BAKED ZITI PIZZA!!!

Yes, a heaping helping of baked ziti on a thick crusted slice of pizza. It's the most amazing pizza I've ever had. EVER.

We go there (at least) once a week. The wife always gets a ziti slice. I usually vary on two or three different slices depending on my mood (if I get a ziti slice I can only get one more).

We love the place so much that when we got married, we actually had Ninos cater our Rehearsal Dinner. (I know, it sounds ghetto, but everyone loved it.) They were even going to host it until a short while before we were going to go eat we had a few friends get seriously delayed, so we switched everything to pickup and herded everyone inside our tiny apartment to eat $250.00 worth of pizza, hoagies, cheesesteaks and all of the fun stuff.

My other favorites from Ninos are their Italian (white pizza with spinach, ricootta cheese and roasted red peppers), their CheeseSteak Pizza and their Sausage and Onion pizza. Can't top the Ziti slice, though.

I really can not offer an opinion on pizza. TX might have some places that tickle your fancy, but it isn't going to be easy to find...

If you are in Arlington, there is place right by U.T.A. called Nizza Pizza. The people who work there/own the joint are Italian-American and always wear Yankees hats, so that leads me to believe that they are from up North. Here (http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=1430+S+Cooper+St,+Arlington,+TX+76013+( Nizza+Pizza+%26+Pasta)+%4032.722073,-97.114647&saddr=Arlington+Convention+Center&f=d&hl=en&dq=nizza+pizza+loc:+arlington+tx&cid=32722073,-97114647,7016997604361673783&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=14&om=1) is directions and map from Arlington Convention Center if you are at WWT.

Best pizza I had was Shakey's, while I was still living in the Philippines.

Love the NY style pizza, not a fan of Chicago style pizza, AKA LASAGNA.

i like chicago style better then ny. ny is like eating a piece of bread with a splash of topping. if i wanted to eat bread, i would order bread sticks.
every year i go to wizard world chicago and acen, i have to get giordano's deep dish pizza with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. best damn pizza i've ever had. i don't even care that you have to wait an extra half hour for it to cook.

Vincente's Pizza, 20th and Hawthorne, Portland OR. I order a pesto with lamb, and I add kalamata olives, mushrooms, avocado, and cold tomatoes. Root beer to drink. It might be my favorite meal.

I appreciate both the New York style and the Chicago style, but completely for different reasons. When I think pizza, I think NY, but Chicago style's like a big ass meat and cheese pie (or more correctly tart), and who can't get behind that?

La Mia Pizza on 8th street in the Village. I have to go there every time I'm in NYC. Classic New York Pizza.

These food threads are killing me. Yet...I cannot look away.

well Minnesota is not known for their pizza, but locally, the best place is Savoy's pizza. I know of several famous people who's moved away from here but will overnight their pizza because it's one of a kind goodness.

My favorite is garden veggie pizza with sauerkraut

mmm mmm

I love weird pizzas!
There's this greek place here in Panama that has good pizzas, but you can make them even BETTER by adding a little bit of "satziki" to them

I have to agree with CB- New Haven style pizza trumps NYC, Chicago or anywhere else. While I love Pepe's, I have to say that Modern Apizza is my favorite!

Frank's Pizza on 23rd St in NYC. It was my college haunt back when I was in SVA.
