Joe Q announced an Avengers Fairy Tales. Can we fairly assume that you're writing it, C.B?

I pre-ordered the Niko Henrichon issue, but I'm getting this too.
My favorite issue from the X-Men Fairy Tales was the tortoise/eagle issue. Great stuff.

Have you read Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" novel? Or the sequel, "Anansi Boys"? If not, you're missing out on some EXCELLENT stuff.

No I haven't. Sadly keeping up with my comic habit (among other habits) has left me with less time for novels. I will look into it if I can though, thanks for the recommendation.
Part of the appeal of that book from childhood though, is the imagery...

Was the first fairy tales series about some japanese ones?
The first series, X-Men Fairy Tales, was based on four different international fairy tales.
Issue one was the Japanese classic Momotaro, or Peachboy.
Issue two was the African tale of the Eagle and the Tortoise.
Issue three was an American ghost story set in the South.
Issue four was a retelling of Sleeping Beauty.
Take care,
C.B.

Avengers Fairy Tales...
...hmmm...
...Captain American as Rip Van Winkle?
Or perhaps The Vision as Pinocchio.
I'm sure half the fun (and challenge!) of writing the ...Fairy Tales series is finding the parallels then making them work in an uncontrived way.
I enjoyed the X-Men Fairy Tales immensely, particularly the Cyclops one.

Yeah, making the connections really is a large part of the fun, Thommy!
Thanks for reading!

If Black Panther ever needs another artist, this Niko has the landscape down.
