This one's tough for me. In no particular order...
In-N-Our Burger - Always a classic!
Bubba's in Hawaii - Great special sauce!
The Moosejaw in Breckeridge, CO - The Everything Burger!
The Counter in Santa Monica, CA - Too many choices!! I had mine with bacon, gruyere and the homemade ranch!
The Helsinki Airport - Weird, I know, but one of the best I've had!
Mos C in Kichijoji, Tokyo - The chili cheese Kobe beef burger was out of this world!
The Heart Attack Grill in Phoenix, AZ - My advice, don't take the Triple or Quadruple Bypass Challenge. Just go for the Double Bypass and enjoy yourself!

There's always a big debate about where the best burger joint in NYC is. Garth recently had the characters talk about it in the latest issue of The Boys. It usually comes down to the Shake Shack or The Burger Joint in the Parker Meridian. I love The Burger Joint, but sadly have never tried the Shake Shack. I will correct this oversight this summer.
There's also the Corner Bistro, which wins all the awards and contests, but recently the chef from the Corner Bistro moved to the Stoned Crow, which is now popping up on on all kinds of favorites lists.
Anyone else have an opinion?

Does Mortons Steakhouse have a burger? If so, I'd imagine it would be pretty spectactular.
There's a place near me in Glenside called The Blue Comet and they have a cheeseburger with bacon and peanut-butter. I haven't tried it yet, but from what I hear, it's a local favorite. If you're going to go to Wizard World Philly, C.B., you may be interested in trying it.

Texas Hamburger Factory (http://www.texashamburgers.com/) - Lewisville, Texas. They also have a variety of items such as Mexican, BBQ, and other fried things. My wife and I used to live 2 blocks from it when we were in college. We would eat here at least once a week, though it usually was twice. They have the best damn fajita nachos, and the portion was large enough for me and my wife to share and get full. They also have the best fired catfish I have ever had. It is an overall damn fine restraunt.
As far as where I like to get a chain fast food burger, nothing beets Sonic's SuperSONIC® Cheeseburger!

I think Morton's has mini-burgers on their bar area, but their mini-steak sandwiches are amazing and that's what I always order during happy hour.
And count me in for this peanut butter burger, Marc! I am still debating between Philly and Heroes and this might put me over the edge.

No, I don't really know the area, but that link should be able to tell you, I would guess.
Do they still have Benita's Fries on the 3rd St. Promenade?

Far be it for me to convince you otherwise, but I'm sure the good folks in Charlotte could point you towards some amazing eats if you were to got to Heroes instead.
But with Bendis and Oeming at WWPhilly, you may as well make it a Powers threesome and show up at my hometown show.

I just heard of a little old place in New Providence NJ that I can't wait to try out it's called "Cheeseburger Cheeseburger"
You can't get a better name than that. The kids meals come in little yellow cadillacs!

I was just talking to a good friend who's from Philly and asked him about The Blue Comet. One of his best friends has been the bartender there for years. So yes, we will be going if I hit WW Philly this year!!

I usually go to this local place called The Works. GREAT burgers with a huge variety of toppings.
There was also this place in Japan that I went to once during my stay...I can't remember what it was called, but they had the best burgers I've ever tasted.

Lot of debate over Five Guys vs. In-N-Out. It's the old East Coast vs. West Coast battle, and of course, the West is the best. ;)
Besides In-N-Out, we have Tommy's here in LA. My good friend McManus has tasted the goodness and approves! :)

Little joint called Matt's in Minneapolis is the home of the Juicy Lucy.
It's a big patty with a tunnel dug out in the middle that is filled with cheese.
They serve it at approximately 2000 degrees Fahrenheit and their drinks don't come with ice!
But diggity-dang if it ain't good eats.
Also Ben's Chili Bowl here in the DC area is home to THE best chili-dog ever...with all due respect to Carney's. ;)
There's a soul food restaurant in Waldorf, MD called Lefty's that serves the most awesomeriffic barbeque ribs and orange-juice flavored pork chops.
Yes, pork chops cooked with orange juice.
Sounds gross, tastes like sex plus heroin.

I LOVE Five Guys!! I think I ate there every day when I was at Baltimore Con.
I also tried Tommy's out in L.A., as it came highly recommended by Senor Slott. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. However, I have since been informed that I did not go to the ORIGINAL Tommy's and will have to check out their first Tommy's shack on Beverly and Rampart next time, which I will be glad to do.
Come to think of it, I was with Dan when I went to Five Guys for the first time too. Bound by burgers!

I had dinner with my brother last night and he recently went to Paul Newman's all organic restaurant in Westport, CT. Although he felt guilty ordering it, he had the $24 bacon cheeseburger, and turns out he did not regret it after all. He said it was out of this world and that he would gladly spend that much money again for another one anytime!

Yeah, I used to live across the street from the Original Tommy's, right there in Historic Filipinotown (my girl's Filipino).
Next time you're in town make sure to hit me up and we'll rock it.
Five Guys is good, but a little heavy for me. It also leaves a funny aftertaste, but people really seem to dig it. My Mom swears by it!

The smell of White Castle is intoxicating, but I have to agree that In-and-Out makes a great burger.
I make outstanding hamburgers on my grill. Garlic toasted buns, a mustard/mayo spread.. grilled onions. Trust me... they rock.

When I make hamburgers at home, I chop up fresh jalepeno peppers and mix them in the meat as well as small bits of stewed tomatoes. Very little tomatoes, but just enough to give it a little flavor. The jalepenoes are awesome in there...
Yeah, I know I like hot food..

I've been to Rutts! I was just asking my mom for directions cause I haven't been there since I was a teeny tiny lad. And sadly all the old timers I know, who used to go there back in the day, can't seem to remember where the hell it is. I guess those really were the good olde days.
I want to try that peanut butter burger from philly. That sounds great. It reminds me of the Elvis sandwich from that PB&J place in the village.

there was a local ice cream place called the vault, that made a great thick ass burger they called the jethrow. it had lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, mushroom, mayo, mustard and ketchup on it and i had them cut it in half because it was so thick. they went out of business though. the best burger round here now is from roxy's. it's called the double oliver burger deluxe. it's got lettuce, tomato, onion and this green olive/mayo spread on it. fantastic.

I tried Lucky's Burgers on 52nd and 9th in NYC yesterday. The burger was just alright, but I would recommend having them hold "Lucky's Special Sauce" if you go. Try it first and put it on yourself after if you like it. I didn't care for the taste of it and it was already all over my burger when I got it. I preferred the chili cheese dog I had over the burger actually. The fries were excellent though!! But be warned, this joint is pretty pricey and I don't think the food is worth it. I probably won't be going back.

I just watched a show on the Food Network last night about a place in Sacramento called the "Squeeze In Diner" or something like that. They had this burger with a "skirt" of cheese. My god...it's looked AMAZING!!!
You know, I think In-N-Out was great, but not the best I've had. Though it was definitely the best I had when I lived in Long Beach. I heard a lot about Krystal burgers, and I had one in Atlanta last week and was unimpressed. I gotta admit that I'm a sucker for White Castle after a night out drinking. It was almost gross. In Chicago, one of my favorite burgers is Boston Blackie's - not pricey, very juicy, and service is fast. I had a $20 Kobe Burger at Rockit which was awesome, and even though I expensed it, I would pay that $20 again to have it.

Thanks for keeping this thread alive, guys! I appreciate the recommendations and they have been noted. for my future travels. Those Texas burgers are out of control!
I was just in Chicago, and although I didn't get a chance to go there, Skottie Young recommended Kuma Burger as the place to get great burgers downtown.
And if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend another Chicago institution, Ricobenes! Not for the burgers though, but for their famous breaded steak sandwiches, which are to die for!!
