I am just wondering, this book is about a woman willing to kill supervillains, could this be off puting to those who are against the death penalty... or are the typical concerns (fear of innocents being convicted and killed) kinda alleviated given that the supervillains have clearly commited numerous acts of murder.

just because a character in a book is pro-death penalty (although i wouldn't necessarily say she is) doesn't mean a book is, or a writer is.

Not that the comic is complete fluff or anything, but I've never thought of it as a book that's trying to make a heavy social statement. Much like the Punisher, it's just fun, blow the shit out the bad guys type stuff.

To be clear I wasnt saying the writer or the book was pro death penalty, I am sorry Marc if thats the way this question came across, and I wasnt saying that the book had some underlying deep social commentary on the death penalty. I was just trying to ask the question if this book might be off putting to those who are against the death penalty.

Nah, I don't think so. Indiscriminate bloodshed hasn't seemed to hurt the Punisher's popularity any.
