NBC's mob drama The Black Donnellys, which had a disappointing premiere a week ago, slumped even further at 10:00 p.m. this Monday night as it posted a 5.1 rating and an 8 share (versus last week's 6.0/10). The results were worse than those for the previous occupant of the Monday-night time slot -- Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. A rerun of CBS's CSI: Miami won the hour with a 9.9/16.

I hope this bodes well for Studio 60. So me and the rest of my blue state friends can laugh at the mongrels in between the coasts.

Well, maybe if the Irish Mafia were taught Black People weren't so differnet from Whites...

I won't do anything to change the fate of it's renewal I think, but it bodes well for seeing the rest of the completed episodes.

Yeah, this does not make me sad. It wasn't a bad show persay, but it didn't bring anything to the table that I can't get anywhere else.

But... it looks so gritty, and "real", and they talk with tough accents!

It's like The Sopranos, except on NBC, so the characters can't act or talk real (ex. curse)

I don't think there's anything "probable" about both shows getting cancelled.

I'm glad Studio 60 will be back for the rest of the season. Just so I have to hear less "stupid America" comments.

This bodes well for more Deal Or No Deal. Maybe NBC could have a Deal Or No Deal night.

2 episodes in and I'm in agreement. I'm completely distracted by how unrealistic the main characters all look - not one of them looks, acts or talks like they grew up poor in Beverly Hills, let alone Hell's Kitchen. For some reason, I can't let that go...

all i can say, is this is what the network gets when they try to replace quality that costs a bit more with something cheap to boost ratings on an already difficult ratings nite.

i love S60, and want more seasons, but at this point i just really want them to finish this first season, so at least i'll have that.

I think both shows will get the axe in the grand scheme of things, but maybe they'll at least finish Studio's first season in the timeslot.

Did anyone watch it here, though? Do gangsters normally strip down to their BVDs to dispose of bodies? And when did Tom develop the BIGGEST pecs on the planet? I mean seriously, he could crush Lou Ferrigno's head in-between those taught manboobs.

Um...I feel dirty.

Yes, thank you.

At least this will delay the insufferable comments a few months.

Well they don't want any evidence against them I suppose. But like I told my buddy the are safe since CSI is on CBS. I mean all the Donnelly's have to worry about is Medium catching them. Or Captain Janeway getting them lost.

So it was the opposite of CSI: Miami? Oh wait...

I keed, I keed. Well, not really, but I didn't watch Donnelly's yet and I feel kinda bad because those I know that have really like the first two episodes.

Mob people always watch their mouth. So do the Irish. So a show about the Irish Mob should be extra clean. Like a christian comedy show.

I just realized that one girl in the show was also that bi-sexual girl who dated Seth during Season two of The OC. Hmm...

I have to wonder if bombarding tv viewers with constant advertisements about a show backfires on a network?

I was beaten to death with ads about the Black Donnellys' to the point where I didn't want to watch it.
