So, on Brian's board Taki started a thread explaining that she had finally begun reading ALIAS, and was really loving it. I joined the discussion because I am such a big fan of that series. At one point I was saying how great it was seeing the different covers that you and Gaydos, and Maleev were doing each month.... Now, that really was one of the true joys of the book, seeing those covers which made it stand out on wednesday's at the comic shop. No other book looked like it.

Well, that thread got me thinking about the book and I started to go through my issues tonight. Haven't revisited the series since it ended, and I though it was time to break 'em out. As I'm flipping through, I'm seeing again just how amazing the cover series really was, and I'm also seeing they're all yours.

I have to say, I think the reason I thought those guys did a few is because I remembered a real diversity to some of them stylistically. I see now that that was your doing, though they still all have a cohesive feel throughout. Sorry for that mistake.

Its such a great series of covers DM, some truly beautiful work there, and again a major ingredient to the unique experience that ALIAS was. Anyway, just wanted to give you that shout out, after not giving you full credit earlier :) Brilliant, brilliant stuff man.

Those ALIAS covers are absolutely beautiful and inspiring works of art.
The only thing is that they kind of make Jessica TOO gorgeous. She's more of a plain jane in the Gaydos interiors (still pretty, just not the godess of the cover art).

I guess the covers are illustrating her inner beauty.:)

Thanks for that.

They look particularly good in the ALIAS OMNIBUS! Also, the Omnibus has a BUNCH of David's sketches and some unused covers. BEAUTIFUL stuff! CHECK IT OUT! ;-)

I'm such collections pimp!

I recently picked up the Omnibus, and there were a lot of great extra in it. The covers were great, but the diary thing was absolutely incredible.
