I agree with this so much that if it were within my power to get you laid, I would.

You know, there were rumors that you were into field hockey players.

Wave of Mutilation is a great song and the Pixies are a great band.

The Pixies have held up over time.

They really have. I can't think of any of their songs that sound outdated at this point.

they're very much 'the guy behind the guy' ala lou reed and the velvet underground. and jeff buckley.

which is cool to me. but the music itself is just kick ass. i think trompe le mond is my favorite.

Surfer Rosa is probably my favorite, but Bossanova is a close second.

I said "I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed"
"I like Lou Reed" she said sticking her tongue in my ear
"Let's go, let's sit, let's talk"
"Politics go so good with beer"
"And while we're at it baby, why don't you tell me one of your biggest fears?"

...;)

It's amazing how a band can be both over raited & under raited at the same time.

They seem more like a nostalgic novelty to me now.

I was always amazed that they were so much more popular in parts of europe, at least until they split. They obviously became "bigger" after they stopped playing together.

They are recording/rehearsing the new record at the moment, right?

Supposedly they are, but this isn't the first time. I wouldn't count on seeing a new record until they announce a release date, honestly.

It's equally amazing that you managed to put an "i" in "rated"... twice!
