...I've got to say I REALLY glad they offed Shannon early on in season 2. What a whiny princess.

Yeah, nice eye candy, but shut the hell up, girl. This is unbearable, especially now after Boone's kicked it. Her scenes in the ep in which she wants to kill Locke are terrible, though the flashback episode where Boone gets her back from Sydney is even worse. But I was distracted by a challenging page during most of it, so that helped. :)

i thought she rounded out the cast nicely, even if she was a whiny princess. More eye candy can't hurt.

She probably got on my nerves so much because the TV is not in direct line of sight of my computer monitor. So I was more listening to the show than watching it. Her whiny/shaky voice isn't ear candy. That's for sure. :)

If i was her stepbrother...I'd hit it.

I think 90% of the show's characters are disposable.

If you can watch TV while doing it, it's not a real job (ex. inking, lettering)

even worse is Jack. I can't stand that character.

Jack's my second favorite character. Locke's still number one.

And whether I listen to music or the TV while lettering doesn't matter. It just keeps me company. :)

there is no wrong here. it's a matter of opinion and his character just rubs me the wrong way's all.

He's not supposed to completely rub you the right way. That's the great thing about the show - the main male character in the show, while basically good-natured, is really kind of an asshole. Most shows go the easy route and make their male leads completely likable - better shows like Deadwood and Lost don't.

I like 'bad' characters. I just don't like Jack.

Especially when mine are statistically proven by science and shit.

Yeah, I also like Ana Lucia a lot. Does the general hate for her come from people associating Michelle Rodriguez with other roles she played? This was my first exposure to her and I liked her character.

There are a few characters in season 3 so far that you'll love or hate. Or both. :)

I have a hard time imagining ever wanting to see the show again. I love watching every week to see the mystery unfold but for me this show has no replay value.

You're out of your mind. LOST has TONS of replay value. There's tons of stuff to go back and look for, especially in hindsight.

Which ones aren't?

Aw, Shannon is cool. Maggie Grace is a sweetheart in person, and she played an interesting and complex character on LOST. Come to think of it, there really aren't any characters from the first season that I disliked.

I couldn't disagree with you more.

I notice new awesome shit every time I watch it.

The replay value is astounding on Lost, just as it was on Alias. All those little details that make you go "hold on a second..." are great.

It cant have replay value, its all made up on the fly! Ahem.

Yeah, which is why things that are hinted at in season 1 show up again in season 3 and stuff. :)

I thought Shannon was a good character, but I wasn't entirely sad to see her go because she did grate on my nerves. She started to get some interesting character development & just had a breakthrough and then immediately BLAM.

Oh yeah, I hate Jack too. Self righteous dork. I feel like I've seen enough of Kate and Sawyer for a lifetime. I'd like to see more Sayid, like now.

I dont care man! I've made my mind up! I do miss Shannon but I look forward to discovering the bunch of new folks we have.

Don't get me wrong, the character certainly fulfilled its role well (Paris Hilton type as they say in the extras), and she did get some nice character development in season 2. What really got to me, though, was how she wanted to get Sayid to kill Locke. The writers did a good job, Maggie Grace did a great performance. It worked exactly like it was supposed to.

That still means I can hate the character, though. :)
