I think I just got a great idea for a costume...a Wookie outfit with a toga and a big bottle of wine...I'll be Chewbacchus!

Awesome.

So I was watching the Jarmusch film "Broken Flowers" the other night and while there were some bits I liked a lot in that movie the driving scenes were downed right Manosesque, so naturally I thought of you.

Heh...I believe the correct scholarly term is "Manosian".

I think watching a Jarmusch flick and Manos side by side may show explicitly where the dividing line between "deliberatly paced" and "slow and painful, like passing a fishhook" is.

Normally I really like Jarmusch. "Broken Flowers" though crossed that line a couple times for me.

not that i want to derail the Jarmusch subject but i had to post this quote from the article.

Two years ago, Mr. Incredible, Elmo the Muppet and the dark-hooded character from the movie "Scream" were arrested for "aggressive begging," the L.A. Times reported."

its like a news headline from an acid trip.

back to Jarmusch:
IFC has been playing Dead Man a bunch lately. man i love that movie. Some of my favorite cinemtography. Also, i need to watch Ghost Dog again, its been too long.

This morning feels like a bad acid trip. It's been very strange, overly introspective, and seemingly unending.

I love Dead Man. I've seen complaints about the pacing in that movie, but honestly I don't notice the pacing when I'm enjoying every minute of it.

hmmm...this didn't seem to take, trying to post it again.

Speaking of acidy mornings, there's been a woman screaming "oh my god!" over and over and pacing back and forth outside our office window. She did it for like 15 minutes, now she seems to have stopped.

My kids took a picture with Chewbacca in Hollywood. I wonder whether it's the same guy. :?

There's a large bipedal hot dog standing on the street corner waving a placard at passing motorists. The trip continues.

"Aren't you awfully dopey for a stormtrooper?
