I'm confused -- even if you've never seen the show and have no idea what that little creature is -- how does the look of this thing inspire you to call the bomb squad?

That are in a shape of a face?
I do find it surprising that there was no branding on the boxes. Something that said "property of Time Warner" or something.
Seeing that these are in Atlanta, I'm tempted to go on the prowl and see if I can score one.

The key to that show for me was the day Steve (Ascius) pointed out "It's not about anything at all except Master Shake's continued attempts to corrupt the purity of Meatwad."
And he's right. Once I ignored all the insanity that goes on around them and just look at those two characters as ultimate temptation and ultimate innocence and the show is suddenly one of the funniest things on TV. Although, to be fair, the show started out abysmal before they realized "detective food" wasn't working and found a formula that did. I think Season 2 is where it really starts firing 100% of the time.

"In a news conference, Rich told reporters he had advised his clients not to discuss the incident. Stevens and Berdovsky took the podium and said they were taking questions only about haircuts in the 1970s.
When a reporter accused them of not taking the situation seriously, Stevens responded, "We're taking it very seriously." Asked another question about the case, Stevens reiterated they were answering questions only about hair and accused the reporter of not taking him and Berdovsky seriously.
Reporters did not relent and as they continued, Berdovsky disregarded their queries, saying, "That's not a hair question. I'm sorry.""
May the gods bless them for this.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis called the stunt "unconscionable," while Boston Mayor Thomas Menino called it "outrageous" and the product of "corporate greed." Democratic Rep. Ed Markey, a Boston-area congressman, added, "It would be hard to dream up a more appalling publicity stunt."
It would be even harder to come up with a response to this that was more overblown and insipid. These three guys deserve my "Puh-leaze"-eyeroll award of the year.

At the very least that last one seriously lacks imagination.
With a quick edit this could be my favorite quote:
"We haven't had any calls to 911 regarding this," Seattle police spokesman Sean Whitcomb told AP on Wednesday. "Unlike the Boston police chief, we're not fucking morons," he might well have added.
