So, the Wii News Channel went live today, annnnnd it's actually pretty cool. Top story so far: "Man dies when wheelchair catches fire," which is tied with "Runaway bride story to be rock opera."

AWESOME.

That sentence really shouldn't make me laugh.

You heartless bastard.

I only chuckled.

I only chuckled.

Not entirely heartless...I did feel bad about laughing. A very Catholic sense of schadenfruede: it's ok to laugh, but only if you feel guilty afterwards.

Ya know, that's actually a pretty neat little feature. I like using the same box I play Mario on to read about the "Hold your wee for a Wii" death and the 29 year old sex offender attending classes and posing as a 12 year old.

my favorite is the text zoom, where the words hover up off the page, then rearrange themselves to fit the new space.

Although, the globe is pretty spiffy too.

Huh...

No, mine took less than five minutes. It could be server load, but I'm not sure.

The updates are coming from inside your office.

I started my update, went and grabbed some yogurt, let the dog out and came back to the news channel.

Sweet . . . that only took four hours.

Only a couple of hours...so long as I don't make the mistake of entering the conference room for the end of the week meeting. An hour may move by on the clock for that feckin' thing, but the clocks lie...that bastard is endless!

Either you or Rich should tell the story about the guy at the peep show that looks like Jesus. That will pass some time, get this thread somewhat back on topic, and since it won't be me that told it, I won't be blamed for the psychological damage.

Interesting news from my home town. I'd have thought for sure it would be "not guilty for fear of rioting" but instead they moved the verdict to the end of the day for the high schools to let out, put the police on tactical alert, and allowed the jury to come up with a real verdict.

I dunno, I only know about Come Jesus thirdhand from a friend who's friends with someone who works there. They did create a Friendster account for Moppy, the Jizz Mop, though.

Then you're who told me originally. So, tell away.

Funny, because while I was at dinner, I was thinking I'd like to change your little tag thingy beneath your name to read "Kiltlifter," but I lack the power.

No. Or if I did I was inebriated to the point of not remembering, which would be likely if it were told at Tym's. Do share.

No, it's a seattle thing. I have a friend who has a friend who works at the Lusty Lady. You know the place. They put up the nice movie signage like "VENI, VIDI, VENI" and so forth.

Anyway, there's a guy who apparently looks a lot like you'd think Jesus would look, robes and all, who likes to come in and like the floors in the booths.

That's how he earned the nickname, and that's why he has so much in common with Moppy the Jizz Mop, who shares much the same function, except that Moppy doesn't swallow.

"VENI, VIDI, VENI"

I'd forgotten about that sign. Genius title.
