Here are some samples of e-mail spam collected in the last few days. Each quote is a different e-mail.

I get a lot of those gobbledy gook nonsense messages too. I'm convinced that someone is using those to pass secret messages. Occasionally I'll stare at them for a while an see if I can magically decode them, ala "A Dangerous Mind", but usually I just get a headache and the strange desire to make soap/nitroglycerine in my basement.

These are all from my spam folder on gmail, which I usually dump sight unseen. But I was looking for something I thought might have got caught by the filter and started exploring these.

I've never eaten it. Both my father and mother were good cooks though...so there were some things that didn't enter our home.

Nope, I never have either. I had a roomate who used to fry it up on a little hot plate and it smelled so foul it made me nauseous. Never was even tempted to try it.

Apparently it was just two steps the the left of staple food in her home growing up. You'd never tell it, considering the fact that she's an excellent cook.

She probably became one out of necessity. In high school after my grandmother died, her husband was living with us and wanting to be helpful he would cook his awful flavorless old person food. This was why I became a vegetarian for two years: it provided me the excuse to cook my own meals.

You should go to Hawaii, they love Spam there. Spam can be yummy. But this is coming from someone who has tried Potted Meat.
