David - Just wanted to post and say how great this is.

The producers of this did a super job of getting out of the way and letting the artwork and you speak for yourselves. The close-up camera shots were fantastic - I think it was easier to see some of the fine detail of your work compared to actually looking at it reduced in a comic. You can really tell they respect your work and are big fans.

The walk-throughs/commentaries of Kabuki and the childrens' book are great. But, as with any artist, I get the biggest kick out of looking at your workspace and all the art laying around.

Really nice stuff about your Mom, too.

Technical Questions:
David, what's that ink/brush pen you're using throughout the DVD. I thought it was an artkure, but it's seems much too big.

And, what are you using to fix your collage paper items to the artboard? Gesso?

Congrats... amazing work.

MACK!

Thanks for the really great response to the DVD.
I'm very glad that you liked it.
Thanks for letting people know about it.

It is just a brush pen that I picked up in Japan. You can find them from Kinokiniya bookstores in US or online probably.

Often, I use scotch tape :)
