Super Monkey Ball Wii Question

I feel so dumb. How do I synch up my extra controllers for multiplayer? Anyone know? I can't seem to find the prompt...

Press the Synch button on the Wimote and Wii console at the menu. At least that's how I've done it for normal stuff.
