Anyone else seen any of this?

I just netflixed the first disc, and loved the hell out it. Though a lot of that may be due to Ancient History being the focus of my degree, and the Fall of the Republic being what I would've focussed on if I'd gone on to grad school.

The first season is fucking brilliant. Not much else I can say other than I haven't seen any of the new season yet.

I watched all of Season One on demand over the holiday break and now I'm watching Season Two as they air.

It is fucking awesome!

Vorenus and Pullo are like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, intersecting with all the big events. Except they're ultimate badasses.

That second episode..."How Pullo caused the Fall of the Republic" was fantastic. I also like that Octavian is a snotty little shit. I assume they left out the story about uncle Julius sodomizing Octavian at the camp in Gaul in order to try and make Julius more likeable.

I've seen the first episode and really liked it. Haven't had the time to watch the rest but I intend to.

How far into Season2 are they? Is it continuing to be good? I just want to know before I drop the $60 to buy season1...since I have the feeling I may want to watch this more than once.

Hmmm...I may need to give it a couple more. I guess I'll wait till I netflix a couple more discs of season 1 first.

2 episodes so far and they've both been great.

I gotta check this show out. I've just recently managed to watch most of Band of Brothers. Aside from Deadwood, I'm years behind on my great HBO series.

Sunday night is becomeing troublesome at my house. Gotta watch Rome, Battlestar, Extras, The Simpsons, Dresden Files, 60 minutes, Grease (Shaddup), and possibly Dirt, and doesn't Weeds and Sopranos come back soon?

Even with 2 DVRs, one can only watch so much.

It's a damn good thiung Football is over for a while!

Extras repeats through the week, I don't know about Rome. The Simpsons was cancelled years ago, I don't know why people keep insisting it still airs.

I ended up borrowing the first season of Rome from a coworker... it's excellent. I don't know how the second season is, but I've heard it's highly expensive and will end early, never to return. Seems a shame.

There's nothing quite like a hot chick getting an ox blood shower to indelibly mark a piece of media in your mind.
