Any early buzz on this series? I don't have high hopes especially after I didn't make it one episode into Dexter. I'll be happy if it's mediocre but I'll feel better if anyone has heard anything.

I watched the first episode tonight.

It's not bad, but I didn't love it either. I see potential, and the lead character is quite compelling. It's got an interesting premise.

I'd say it's mediocre with a touch of potential. I'll watch the second episode to see if some of the rougher elements of the show smooth themselves out.

Pretty much how I feel. Liked it, didn't love it. It certainly didn't suck. I'll watch it again and see where it goes.

Okay, I liked it. It helps to have years of experience with adaptations tho'. The fact they have to change things so they present better on TV prepared me for most of it and it helps that the changes to the status quo and Harry's backstory are clearly well thought out. I like the series better but I like the series better than most adaptations that have come before. Dexter, for example, lost me before the end credits of episode one. Dresden Files has me looking forward to where they go with this!
