Just being from a town ravaged by a hurricane does not grant you entry into the Super Bowl. One must also play defense. You let the Bears have 21 points in the 4th? Jesus, Mary and Joseph... I don't even care all that much about football and I'm laughing at that one.

wouldn't have mattered, the refs would have let them win anyhow. some of the worst officiating I've seen in a while.

Home field advantage worked well for the Bears there. Chicago now gets to lose to whichever team wins the AFC championship.

Well, nice for Chicago to have won that game...I'm from Chicago, and still don't have any hopes for winning the SB...I fully realized that Chicago will get dismantled. But, the commercials will be good.
fuck the commercials and the game.
It's all about the half-time show this year.
PRINCE! :boogie:

I wouldn't count Chicago out of this one. Both teams have their problems. It's anyone's game. Who can get thier team ready the most, and keep them from being distracted from it all.
Just getting to the Superbowl was the monkey off of their backs. Will it be a calming influence for Peyton, or an unnerving one? For some people it's like breaking through the sound barrier, all the turbulence goes away and it's quiet smooth sailing from then on.

Were I Lovie Smith, I'd be considering bringing on Steve Spurrier as a consultant.

I saw the first half-time of the first game and something I didn't understand, when the patriots did the 21-3 touchdown, after that Manning went out and was calling someone on his cellphone :mistrust:

He was calling Tom Brady's girlfriend, Gisele Bundchen, to tell her he was about to dismantle her boyfriend's team.

I do know that part of the coaching staff works in a press box like area. It is not unusual at all to see the QB talk on a hard line phone after an offensive series. It could be that there is a problem with the phone system in the stadium, or the team has some sponsorship deal with a cel company and uses them exclusively. More than likely though, he was talking to a coach.
he was calling his bookie to find out if it was too late to change his bet.
